How are you feeling right now? Could you use a little magic to feel a little better?

Depression, anxiety, feeling low, blue, like nothing’s going right and everything is falling apart.

Most of us have experienced something like it, if not everyone has been to the depths of clinical depression and anxiety.

And it all comes from looking around at our lives, at ourselves and seeing what we don’t want.

We don’t want to be sick.

We don’t want to be broke.

We don’t want to be unhealthy.

We don’t want to be miserable.

We don’t want this or that or the other thing.

And because we think this way over and over, because we charge our brains with a hit of adrenaline, cortisol and all the other negative hormones that get released when we think this way, we create more and more of the same. Its all we can see, its all we have.

How can we get healthier when we’re thinking all the time of being sick? Not being sick is still thinking about being sick.

Same with being broke. ‘I’ don’t want to be broke,’ all you’re thinking about is being broke and the misery that induces in your body. Sticking a ‘Don’t want’ in front of it doesn’t change how it feels and its how you feel that has your brain releasing its toxic stew.

We have to neutralise your negativity and swap it for optimism, positivity, relief.

How do we do that.

We rewire your brain, we retrain your thinking.

Starting with your don’t wants. Finally, they’re going to prove useful. Take your don’t wants and turn them around into positives.

Lets take one of the examples above:

I don’t want to be sick.

Well, that’s pretty universal and we get sucked into conversations with other people, all of us talking about how sick we are. Stop it!

Stop focusing on being sick. What’s the opposite of being sick?

Being well. Being healthy. Having vibrant energy, wholesome vitality.

Try saying that now. Feels way better than I don’t want to be sick doesn’t it?

The key to getting better recovering from all types of illness including mental ill health is feeling good in the body.

You can make anything happen when you wire your brain with the thoughts and programs you want.

Clear the old and make space for the new, then rewire so you now automatically think thoughts that support you in moving forward towards your ideal life.

One super easy question to ask yourself is, ‘what can I do today to make myself feel better?’

And then do it, as much as you are able.

Go beyond the limits you’ve put on your life

You may not know you’ve put limits on your life, boundaries which you dare not cross and in all probably never notice because you don’t get close to them.

But when you switch on a dream, when you have a burning desire to be someone, to do something, have something and you never make it happen, its time to get on with clearing whatever’s holding you back.

Because we can make anything happen when we want it and take the aligned action we are guided into.

Imagine life in a year’s time, hell, even a month’s time if every day you asked ‘What can I do today to make myself feel better?’ and then actually followed through and did it!

Imagine yourself as a powerful wizard, able to make dreams come true, to shape reality to how you want it to be.

How does it feel when you wield that power and change things for the better?

Are you ready to do what it takes to make it happen, simply by asking and then answering one simple question?

‘What can I do today to make myself feel better?’

And if you’re guided to answer rest, then you rest. You always follow your inner wisdom. It knows best.

Wiring your brain for new empowered living needs new ways of thinking

You need to do this every day, then you put the wonder of neuroplasticity into effect. Your brain changes, the old frequently trod pathways get overgrown and disused and new superhighways are forged.

Daily activities, like a gym for your mind. This isn’t just neurological rewiring, we’re retraining your emotional, behavioural and spiritual bodies too.

  1. Magnify your dreams and goals and clarify what you desire. Every day spend time visualising, dreaming, imagining what it would be like to be, do and have what it is your desire. Details, full sensory details, as if you’re already living it.
  2. Neutralise the obstacles/blocks/rocks that lie on the path to your dreams. The easiest way to do that is to always find a way to feel good no matter what happens. Ask yourself the question, ‘What can I do today to make myself feel better?’ focus on the answer that comes up and do whatever it takes to get it done, so you can feel good.
  3. Magnetise your desires. Plants the seeds in step 1 and then water them and bring them to life. Become a magnet for them to be pulled into your reality, feel the emotions of having the things you want, of living in your desired state. Repeat at least 3 times a day for 10 minutes each time.

Who do you want to be? What do you want to feel? What are the qualities you want to embody?

Try this little exercise to help

Place both hand over your heart, one on top of the other, doesn’t matter which is top or bottom.

Close your eyes,

Take 3 deep breaths in and exhale out all the way, emptying your lungs.

Now, settling in peacfully, hands on heart say the following:

  • I will not stop.
  • I am free to be loved.
  • I am free to be rich.
  • I am free to be me.
  • I am unlimited.
  • I am worthy to receive
  • I am open to receive.
  • It feels like my body, mind and soul are saying yes.
  • Yes, I can do it.
  • Yes, I can have what I want.
  • Yes, I can be the person I want to be.
  • Yes, Yes, Yes and so be it.

Everything we want comes from inside of us. We have to stop the clamour of the never ceasing din of thoughts and choose what we want and hold to that thought and feeling and repeat, repeat, repeat.

We are made of energy, our thoughts, feelings, vibrations – all are energy we generate and its time we got control of it instead of allowing it to be in control of us,

We try to change by doing. Doesn’t work. You probably have a lifetime of failed experiments you can point to that prove me right.

How do you feel better? By changing your thoughts to ones that give you better feeling feelings.

Look, this is simple but not easy. I forget to do it all the time and find myself feeling miserable and depressed before I remember and kick my ass back into gear.

We have lived, we were taught to live at the mercy of our environment.  If we have had an experience we didn’t want, we need to change how we feel to create new better feeling happenings.

We were never taught how to use our minds and bodies properly, we’ve all learned as we went along, learning most in our early years from other people who weren’t masters at the art of being happy human beings.

Break the cycle. Be the one who makes the changes and transforms.

You can do it. You’re worth it.

A life of misery and unhappiness with little pockets when its not so bad and almost good?

Make the effort, 3 times a day, 10 minutes each time. Magnify. Neutralise. Magnetise.

Change how you think and you change how you feel. That changes lives.
