I don’t think its bad enough yet!

I had this conversation with someone recently.

They had gotten in touch about anxiety and she was coping – barely – and when I suggested a few things she could do to help herself, she nodded but I knew she wasn’t really paying attention.

Does that sound useful? I asked.

Sure, but the hypnosis works better right? she said.

Yes, you can see me as a private client or join one of the groups I run to help people destress and cope with life’s daily challenges. We meet weekly, I highly recommend them.

How much?

£25 a week.

Nah, I’m not that bad yet.

I mean, seriously. That’s what people say. She wasn’t the first and won’t be the last.

Really, you’re going to wait until its bad enough?

That’s something we all do. We put things off.

We don’t look to put effort into maintenance of ourselves, of our lives. Its almost like its wrong to make an effort to feel good and do well in life.

As if its all somehow just supposed to happen without us having anything to do with it.

What are you putting off looking after?

Your health?

Your relationships?

Your finances?

Those are the three main categories of problems people have but there are so many things we put off because we think its too hard, too difficult, will require too much from us.

But there is one thing we can all do that makes everything else easier.

Relax. Get rid of or at least manage your daily stress levels.

When you improve one area of your life, every other section of your life improves.

So relax, be at ease. Rest, take care of that one aspect of you and other things will start to take care of themselves.

Love,

Cynthia xx
